About Me

My name is Araeh, born and raised in Los Angeles, California by a Mexican immigrant mom. My passions include gaming, traveling and picking up as many hobbies as I can.

My Educator Philosophy

I believe learning works best when it starts by meeting students where they are at. My job is to listen first, then guide. That means letting students lead the way whenever possible, whether they're exploring a new concept or circling back to something that didn't click the first time. Understanding that every learner is different is critical.

When it comes to technology, it isn't about replacing good teaching — it's about expanding what good teaching can look like. Whether it's a tool that reads aloud for a struggling reader, a simulation that makes a science concept click, or a simple app that helps a student organize their thoughts, I want my students to be tech literate enough to know what helps them learn.

Not because they need to know how to code, but because the right tool at the right moment can be the difference between frustration and understanding.

My goal is to create a classroom where every learner — no matter their starting point — can find their own path forward, and where technology is just another way to get there.

Student Work

The following galleries showcase projects from former students and pieces I've created for certain roles. Most work involves arts and crafts while tying in hidden curriculum and students' interests. Every worksheet and poster included in these galleries were made by me.

Interactive Alien Activity

I came up with an activity that combined art with STEM. Students learned about paper circuits and how to create one from scratch using coin batteries, copper tape and LED lights.

Art Work

These are different activities we did throughout the year. Some including individual and group work.

Worksheets

These are some of the worksheets I came up with. Some were paired with an activity. I included some posters and handouts for tutors.
